Flood Ford’s Connor Kennedy scattered three hits in six innings of pitching to pick up a 6-0 victory in game one against Coventry. Reliever Chris Manzo pitched a scoreless seventh.

Defensively, center fielder Griffin Crain played an outstanding game for Flood.

In their Preliminary Round match-up the Lions of Narragansett/South Kingstown advanced to the Quarter-finals by sweeping their series against the Knights of East Providence.

In game one, Zack Bianco went the distance, pitching a complete game for a 4-2 win. Gavin Rodman led the way offensively with a double and a run scored.

In game two, Will Rotelli struck out six batters and pitched five scoreless innings in a 14-7 victory.
Offensively, the Lions were led by Ryan Camp (three hits including a double, three 3 rbi’s and a run scored), Drew Kanaczet (1/2, one walk and three runs scored) and Zach Bianco (two hits, one run and one rbi).

Slocum Baseball Club advanced to the Semi-Finals with a 5-0 win over Tiverton in Game Two of their Preliminary Round series.

They will play the Cranston Bulldogs, the defending state champion.

Alex Mann, who threw an eight inning complete game, gave up one run on five hits while striking out six to lead Warwick PAL to a 3-1 opening game win over Coventry. Mann, also, helped his cause with two hits.

In the top of the eighth, Andrew Frenze broke up a 1-1 tie to give PAL a 2-1 lead. Brandon Lajoie followed with a single to give them a 3-1 lead.

In game one of their best of three preliminary round series, Slocum squeaked by Tiverton, 2-1.
